What Happens During miraDry Treatment?
Before you say yes to miraDry treatment, you should know first how this is administered. Here is a look at the procedure:
- The physician will measure your armpits and mark your underarm.
- He/she will administer numbing lidocaine shots in both armpits. Most people need around 30 shots.
- Once the armpits are numbed, the physician will use the hand-held miraDry device to heat and destroy your sweat glands. The whole process takes about an hour.
- For the recovery period, give yourself a few days to recover and heal.
