What is a good range for my testosterone to be while on therapy?
Core Medical recommends comprehensive blood work up every 3-4 months while a patient is on testosterone replacement therapy. Our physicians look to keep TOTAL TESTOSTERONE at 700-850 (normal range is 400-1150) and FREE TESTOSTERONE to 20-25. (normal range 8.5-30). Core Medical employs many different therapies to elevate low testosterone levels including, but not limited to, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

What is a low testosterone level?
Testosterone is evaluated by identifying both free testosterone & total testosterone. Your free testosterone is what is readily available and total testosterone can be considered your reserve tank. In some situations, the total T can be low and free T can be High or vice versa. Normally, we do not treat a patient with these total T to free T testosterone ratios. Testosterone therapy should be considered, depending on age and health, if both levels are depressed – Total T below 400 and Free T below 10.
